最近收到一封轉寄郵件，提到「全美最佳教師獎」得主Ron Cla寫的一本書 書名叫做「優秀是教出來的」

這本書講到這位老師如何教導學生一些非常非常基本的做人道理，列出了所謂
「超基本五十五條」，諸如...
「收到獎品和禮物，不可以嫌棄」、「進門時，如果後面還有人，請幫他扶住門」、
「看電影時不可以說話」、「注意洗手間的衛生，把身邊的病原減至最少」....等等，
可以說都是基本到不能再基本的做人處事道理...
而這封轉寄信感嘆的，就是，雖然這些道理如此的基本跟簡單，我們也老早就知道，
但是，實際上，在生活中的實況是如何？大家可以想一想....
似乎，大家可能都必須很羞愧的說，降子的超基本五十五條做人道理，實際上，
我們隨著年紀增長，不但越來越做不到，還常常反其道而行...
看了這封轉寄信，又讓我想起大學跟研究所時期的指導老師，他曾多次提過，
他最愛的那本書～All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten
這兩本書，還真有其異曲同工之妙～
以下是節錄自書中的一小段....
All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten
My Credo sounds like this:
Most of what I really need to know about how to live and what to do and how to be I learned in kindergarten.
Wisdom was not at the top of the graduate-school mountain, but there in the sandpile at Sunday School.
And these are the things I learned there:
。Share everything.
。Play fair.
。Don’t hit people.
。Put things back where you found them.
。Clean up your own mess.
。Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
。Say you’re sorry when you hurt somebody.
。Wash your hands before you eat.
。Flush.
。Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
。Live a balanced life – learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
。Take a nap every afternoon.
。When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic,
hold hands and stick together.
。Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why,but we are all like that.
。Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
。And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK

大多數我生命中必需要知道的事情，像是如何生活、該做什麼事，我在幼稚園學就過了。
智慧不是要在像是研究所那種高高的學術顛峰上才會學到，
而是在主日學、幼稚園的沙坑之中....
以下這些就是我在那裡學到的事情：
。與人分享
。遊戲時要公平
。不能亂打人
。物歸原位
。自己弄得亂七八糟的事自己要清理
。不要拿不屬於自己的東西
。傷害了別人要說對不起
。吃東西前要洗手
。上完廁所要沖水
。熱餅乾跟冰牛奶對身體有益
。過一個均衡的生活─每天都要花些時間來學習、思考、畫畫、唱歌、跳舞、遊戲與工作
。每天中午要小睡一下
。出門的時候，要注意交通安全，大家手牽手，肩並著肩
。保持一顆好奇心～記得在保麗龍杯子裡的小種籽嗎？它的根往下伸，葉子往上長，
沒有人真的知道為什麼，但我們都喜歡它。
。金魚、倉鼠和小白鼠，甚至是那粒在保麗龍杯子裡小種籽，最後它們都會死去
～而我們也是一樣！
。我還記得打開課本的第一頁時，印入眼簾的大字，那是我第一個學會的單字～『看！』

後記：
都是一些簡單到不能再簡單的道理，一些我們在幼稚園時期就學過的事情，
但是，說實在，現在的你，能做到多少？能真的體會多少？
有時後，最單純，最簡單的道理，卻往往也會變成最難去做到的...
年齡越長，社會化越深，人變得越複雜
價值觀的扭曲
有時後，往回頭想，不知道你是否會有一種感嘆...
有時後，看著鏡子，不知道你是否對鏡中人越來越陌生...
有時後，不知道你會不會很想回歸幼稚園的年代，
那個單純、簡單、容易滿足、跟隔壁小朋友要好的手牽手的年代...
